Caterina da Vinci from Signora da Vinci

Caterina is the main character from Signora da Vinci book, by Robin Maxwell

In the book, she is the youn villager seduced and abandoned by Piero da Vinci, that takes her baby one day after the birth. Caterine fights a lot to can live together Leonardo, first as his wet nurse, and after going live in Florence as a man - Cato the apothecary - to be part of his life. As a man, Caterine meet the most brilhant minds of italian renaissance, as Lorenzo di Medici and his fellows in the Platonic Academy, as great artists as Andrea Verrocchio, Paolo Pollaioulo and Sandro Boticcelli.
Also in the book, Caterina is the inspiration to Leonardo of the Monalisa portrait.
The book is really amazing and I recomend to everyone who loves the italian renaissance!
