Empress Lucilla

Lucilla from Gladiator movie.

Lucilla was the daughter of Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius, elder sister to future Roman Emperor Commodus and wife of her father’s co-ruler Lucius Verus.

In 182 Lucilla with the help of relatives, had planned to assassinate Commodus and replace him with her husband and herself as the new rulers of Rome. But the plan backfired and she ended up banished to the Italian island of Capri. All the men of the conspiration was executed in Rome.
The Emperor then sent a centurion to Capri to execute her, her daughter Plautia, and her cousin Ummidia Cornificia Faustina, who also was in the conspiration, later that year.
